Maritza's Legacy Fund 💫

After more than two decades of visionary leadership, Maritza Wellington Owens (MWO), the founder and former CEO of Harvest Home Farmer’s Market, officially stepped down on December 31st, 2024. Her work transformed how underserved communities in New York City access fresh, local produce and health resources. To honor her legacy and continue advancing her mission, we’ve established the MWO Legacy Fund.

What is the MWO Legacy Fund?

  • Increasing access to fresh, affordable produce

  • Health and nutrition education

  • Supporting local farmers and BIPOC-owned farms
