It’s Spring and Cinco de Mayo! A perfect combination of celebrations. Cinco de Mayo is a celebration created by Mexicans living in America in the late 1800s. Celebrated in America, but not much south of the border, it is in memory of the victory of a small Mexican army over a 3 times as large French colonial force.
Smoothies are an easy way to get a meal on the run. A fast tasty snack loaded with vitamins, minerals, and protein. This is an easy way to “eat” those greens that you may not like but that are good for you.
Bunnies love Carrots, and there’s a reason for that. Carrots are loaded with Vitamin C and make a delicious dessert to satisfy any sweet tooth.
Have you noticed that in the winter, fresh fruits and vegetables often look limp or wilted? If you are looking for better taste and nutrition, try frozen fruits and veggies. Why? Because they are allowed to fully ripen in sunny fields where they are grown.

Eat them alone, create snacks, mix them with other fall veggies, add them to soup, salads or stews, bake them in desserts, like apple pies.
Summer berries are arriving at our Farmers’ Markets. Ripe red strawberries and plumb blueberries are loaded with cool, juicy taste. These berries are packed with antioxidants that fight disease and are good for a healthy heart. But berries have a short growing season so grab them while you can.
